SJISD Hires HS Principal
Saint Jo ISD is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Brad Evans to serve Saint Jo High School as the principal for the 2022-2023 school year.
Brad is currently the JH/HS principal in Ector ISD, and has been since 2017. From 2013-2017 he was the district-wide principal. While serving in administration some of the key objectives he has been a part of include:
· Development of a robust dual credit program
· Writing a grant to make Ector ISD 1-to-1 for student technology
· Creating new career pathways for CTE
· 96% staff retention over the past 5 years
· Aided in creation of the district Defender Program
· Created the Northeast Texas Principal RoundTable
Prior to administration, Mr. Evans was a JH/HS Science teacher, athletic director and coach. He served in this capacity from 2004-2013 with Ector ISD. Entering education in 1998, and prior to Ector ISD, Brad taught and coached at Hewitt Midway HS (Midway ISD, Waco), Coolidge JH/HS (Coolidge ISD), Ford MS (Allen ISD), and Leonard HS (Leonard ISD). His coaching experience was in boys’ basketball, track, 6-man football and 11-man football.
Brad and his wife, Corrie, have 3 children. A daughter that attends OSU, a son that is graduating from the TAMS program at UNT this spring and headed to college, and a freshman daughter that attends Leonard ISD, where Mrs. Evans teaches.
Mr. Evans is passionate about education, especially in rural schools, and we are excited for what he brings to SJHS!
