Saint Jo School Board Recognizes Dual Degree
At a recently held board meeting, the Saint Jo ISD Administration and School Board honored the outstanding accomplishment of SJISD senior, Kayden Skidmore. Kayden recently earned her Associate’s degree from North Central Texas College (NCTC), while concurrently earning her high school diploma from Saint Jo ISD. Kayden is the Salutatorian of the SJISD 2023 graduating class. She is the daughter of Pete and Kelly Skidmore, and plans to attend Midwestern State University and pursue a degree in Radiologic Technology.
“Our school district cannot be more thankful for the partnership with NCTC and the opportunities provided to our students. The outstanding work of our students, in conjunction with the support and guidance of SJISD Counselor, Kelly Durham, SJISD students are earning post-secondary credit and degrees at an astounding rate. Coupled with the financial support of our Education Foundation, great things will continue in this program for SJISD” stated Katie Morman, Superintendent.
The dual credit partnership between Saint Jo ISD and NCTC has grown exponentially to what it is today. Kayden has accomplished what Saint Jo ISD and NCTC outlined as the vision for the future of dual credit by earning an Associate’s degree while attending high school.
